About Us
Halo & Wick is a small online lighting studio. We are not a warehouse with a catalogue, and we are not trying to stock everything. We would rather carry a short list of pieces we would happily live with ourselves.
Why lighting
Most rooms are decided by the things people notice last. You can get the furniture right, the paint right and the floor right, and the room will still feel wrong if the light is wrong. A single well chosen pendant over a table, a soft sconce beside a bed, or a lantern that makes a front door welcoming after dark, changes how a space feels to be in far more than its price suggests it should.
That is the whole idea behind the range, indoors and out. Considered proportions, materials that feel good in the hand, and finishes that hold up over years rather than seasons.
How we choose
Every piece is looked at for how it is made, not for how cheaply it ships. We check the weight of the metal, the quality of the glass, the way a finish sits under warm light. Outdoor pieces get a harder look again, because a fitting that lives in the weather has to keep working through it rather than tolerating the odd shower. If a piece feels thin or looks like it is imitating something better, it does not make the cut.
The range stays small on purpose. A shorter list is easier for you to choose from, and easier for us to stand behind.
How it reaches you
We ship direct from our makers rather than holding stock in a local warehouse. That is what keeps the range wide and the prices honest, and it is the reason a piece takes a little longer to arrive than something sitting in a depot down the road.
Orders leave within one to three business days and you get a tracking link by email the moment yours does. Full delivery times by region are on every product page and in our shipping policy.
Before you order
Buying a light online means judging scale from a photograph, and scale is where most people come unstuck. Our fittings are mains voltage and most need a licensed electrician, so once a piece is wired in it cannot come back to us. That is why we would rather answer a question than process a return.
Check the measurements against your space, and if you are unsure about sizing, wattage or whether a fitting suits your wiring, ask us first. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described items are covered under the Australian Consumer Law. The full detail is in our returns policy.
Talk to us
If you are weighing up two options, or you are not sure how a piece will sit in your room, get in touch before you order. That conversation usually saves a problem later.
